Butte College's Fall Concert Series:

A Musical Extravaganza Not to Be Missed

The Butte College Music Department is excited to unveil a captivating concert lineup to enchant music lovers of all backgrounds. Featuring the incredible talents of students and faculty, these performances promise a diverse range of musical experiences, from classical symphonies to jazz improvisations, choral harmonies to pop hits, and more.

Join us in celebrating the magic of music, as we present the following concerts in our Fall Concert Series. All shows will take place at Butte College’s Black Box Theater, located on the main campus at 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Oroville, CA.

1. Butte College Jazz Ensemble

   Thursday, October 26, 7:00 p.m.

   Experience an electrifying night of jazz music. It features the Butte College Jazz Ensemble led by director Ryan Heimlich, joined by Chico local and renowned musician Shigemi Minetaka.

2. Butte College Choir: "Echoes of Happiness" 

   Thursday, November 2, 7:00 p.m.: 

   Directed by Luke Nicolay, with special guests, Synergism, adding a unique touch to the evening.

3. Butte College Symphonic Wind Ensemble: "Fiat Lux: Let There Be Light"

   Thursday, November 9, 7:00 p.m.

   An exploration of light through a curated selection of compositions.

   Program highlights include iconic pieces like Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra" and modern compositions like Jolley's "Lichtweg/Lightway."

4. Butte College Pop Band

   Wednesday, November 15, 7:00 p.m.

   A high-energy showcase of talent featuring covers of your favorite pop tunes and the premiere of original compositions.

   Directed by Ryan Davidson and Aman Cowell, this is a pop music experience like no other.

5. Student Showcase

   Wednesday, December 6, 12:30 p.m.

   An opportunity to listen to some of Butte's outstanding student musicians.

6. Butte College Music Fall 2023 Kaleidoscope

   Thursday, December 7, 7:00 p.m.

   A musical extravaganza featuring performances by the Jazz Band, Choir, Pop Band, Wind Ensemble, Small Groups, and captivating solos by students and faculty.

   Tickets: $10 General Admission
